Glass Making – Synergraphic Design
For a long time, I've been fascinated by glass—not just the ordinary clear glass we drink from, but the world of art glass, including stained glass, laminated glass, and antique mirrors. Recently, I had the opportunity to attend a company outing at Synergraphic Design in Singapore, a company renowned for its expertise in designing and experimenting with various glass types.
A Journey into Glassmaking
With a rich history behind it, Synergraphic Design has started offering glassmaking workshops aimed at both novice and experienced designers. These workshops showcase the diverse range of glass currently available in the market. It’s amazing to discover how glass can be used in ways we might never have imagined, with properties that allow designers to manipulate its shape into anything their creativity envisions. The potential for timeless designs is truly exciting.
Hands-On Experience
While I can’t share many details or photos due to company restrictions, I wanted to give you a glimpse of the experience. During the workshop, we even had the chance to create our own glass pieces. I was pleasantly surprised to learn how to cut glass using simple hand tools—something I had previously thought impossible after breaking countless glasses in my life!
Conclusion
That’s a brief overview of my experience at Synergraphic Design. I hope you found this post enjoyable, even if it feels a bit awkward to share so little! If you have any questions or want to learn more about glassmaking, feel free to reach out to Synergraphic Design directly.
