Chocolate Cornflakes – Eid Edition

As we prepare for the festive Eid celebration, I know how hectic it can get! If you're worried about running low on cookies or kuehs on the big day, I’ve got a quick and easy treat that you can whip up without even needing an oven.

Introducing: Chocolate Cornflakes!

This simple recipe will keep your sweet tooth satisfied and your cookie jar full. Plus, it’s a fun activity to do with family! The video demonstration features my sister and me, so bear with us through the mess—it was our first time, after all! 😄

Let's Get Started!

Ingredients Needed:

  • 200g of chocolate (we used Toblerone, but feel free to swap it out for your favorite)

  • 500g of cornflakes

  • A variety of colorful toppings

Note: The ideal ratio is 100g of chocolate for every 250g of cornflakes for a perfect coating.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Heat up some water in a pot.

Step 2: Place the Toblerone chocolates (or your choice of chocolate) in a metal bowl and set it half-submerged in the heated water.

Step 3: Stir the chocolate until it melts into a smooth, liquid consistency.

Step 4: Pour the melted chocolate over a bowl of lightly crushed cornflakes.

Step 5: Mix them well, gently crushing the cornflakes further if needed, but be careful not to make them too fine.

Step 6: Distribute the mixture evenly into paper patty cases.

Step 7: Get creative and decorate! The sky's the limit with toppings—sprinkle rainbow sprinkles, add nuts, drizzle icing, and more!

Step 8: Place the cases in the freezer for about 15 minutes.

Step 9: Ta-da! Your delicious Chocolate Cornflakes are ready to be served and enjoyed!

Customize Your Treat!

Feel free to get creative with the type of chocolate (from white to dark) and the toppings (from sprinkles to nuts).

I hope this quick tip helps you prepare for a delightful Eid celebration!

From my family to yours, we wish everyone a very happy Eid Mubarak! May all your gatherings go smoothly, and I look forward to seeing you around!

Salam!
