Eid Mubarak – 2015

As the years go by, the celebrations can sometimes feel repetitive, and the true essence of forgiveness and the spirit of Syawal may seem to fade. This year, for me, is notably different from last year. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing, but it has allowed me to grasp the true meaning of seeking forgiveness. The depth of these feelings is beyond measure.

Regardless of whether your celebration feels the same or not, I hope you're enjoying quality time with your family, friends, and loved ones. I'd like to take this opportunity to sincerely seek your forgiveness if I've ever hurt your feelings, whether knowingly or unknowingly. There are always reasons behind my actions, and if I haven't had the chance to explain, please feel free to reach out to me privately. I'm open this year, and I have no energy left for negativity.

Given my busy work schedule, I also want to ask for your understanding if I haven't been able to make time for you. I'm currently focused on my career in this highly competitive industry, and I hope you can appreciate my perspective. Lastly, please remember to 'Halalkan' all my food and drinks, and if I'm in debt, don't hesitate to remind me!

This Eid, instead of sharing rows of photos on Instagram, I'm trying something new—putting together a video for YouTube. I’m not sure if it’s any good, but it's the best I could do in one day. I hope you enjoy it as it is, and may we meet again next Syawal!

The photos shared here are from the places I've visited. I may or may not upload more, depending on my mood and schedule. I appreciate your understanding in advance.

PS: To my elder relatives—Aunts, Uncles, and everyone—may Allah bless you with the strength to recover and the will to pull through this tough phase. My thoughts and prayers are always with you. Ameen, InshaAllah.

W.Salam.
