RITZ CARLTON MILLENIA – SINGAPORE

My most recent stay at the Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore (RCMS) was nothing short of exceptional. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of staying at various Ritz Carlton properties worldwide, and they have yet to disappoint. Their ability to anticipate my needs before I even voice them is something that sets them apart from other luxury hotel chains.

An Elevated Staycation

This time, I chose RCMS as the venue for a special celebration: my sister’s 21st birthday bash. From the moment I booked the stay, Ms. Nurulhuda Tuah, the ERS Executive, was instrumental in making the experience seamless and memorable. Despite being relatively new to her role, her professionalism and attention to detail shone through as she ensured that every aspect of my stay was taken care of.

Iconic Design and Views

Opened in 1996, the Ritz Carlton Millenia was designed by Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo & Associates alongside DP Architects. Often nicknamed the "HDB hotel" due to its rectangular structure, it’s anything but ordinary. With 32 floors, RCMS offers some of the best views in Singapore:

  • Marina Bay Skyline on one side

  • Kallang and the Singapore Sports Hub on the other

For those lucky enough to snag a corner suite, the bonus views include either Raffles Boulevard or the Singapore Flyer from your bathtub. During my stay, I was upgraded to a Premier Suite (61 sqm)—a spacious, luxurious corner suite that accommodated my plans perfectly.

Luxurious Features

RCMS has one of the largest room sizes in the city, starting from 52 sqm and going up to the 219 sqm Ritz Suite. Every room is thoughtfully designed, featuring:

  • A walk-in closet

  • A flat-screen TV

  • An iPod docking station

  • A coffeemaker

  • Iconic bathtub views

For those seeking a more exclusive experience, the Ritz Carlton Club Lounge on the 32nd floor offers panoramic views and even has a drawing room equipped with stationery for artistic guests inspired by the cityscape.

Facilities and Dining

Beyond its rooms, RCMS boasts:

  • A lap pool (undergoing reconstruction, so do check availability)

  • A newly revamped gymnasium

  • The Spa

  • Several ballrooms, including a "Super" Grand Ballroom capable of hosting thousands

RCMS also houses three restaurants:

  • Chihuly Lounge (Lobby Lounge)

  • Colony (All-Day Dining)

  • Summer Pavilion (Chinese Restaurant)

While I didn’t dine at any during this stay, their reputation for excellent cuisine is well-known.

Above and Beyond

RCMS goes the extra mile to make guests feel at home. From their Ritz Kids program, which makes it a family-friendly hotel, to their uniquely designed connecting rooms with a shared foyer, the hotel ensures comfort and convenience. For Japanese patrons, RCMS even has a dedicated Japanese reception staffed by native Japanese speakers, exemplifying their commitment to personalized service.

A Grateful Shoutout

A special thank you to Ms. Nurulhuda Tuah for her incredible efforts in making my stay a memorable one. Her dedication to ensuring a flawless experience made all the difference.

If you’re considering a luxurious staycation or an event venue, Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore should be at the top of your list. For more insights and photos from this stay, don’t forget to follow me on Snapchat @aminayub!
