Dilaizet Ritz 21st Birthday Bash
Despite a packed schedule and overlapping events, I decided this year was perfect to organize a truly special 21st birthday celebration for my sister. After a month of planning and deliberation, I knew the venue had to be nothing short of her dream staycation spot—the Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore.
The Perfect Venue
The Ritz Carlton was an obvious choice, offering stunning suite views and exceptional service that goes above and beyond every time. A heartfelt thanks to Ms. Nurulhuda Tuah, whose meticulous assistance in decorating the room made this event even more memorable. Her efforts saved me precious time, especially with my sister’s tight schedule and her surprise arrival set for earlier in the day.
A Royal Theme
The celebration revolved around a royal yet minimalistic color palette: Emerald Green, Pearl White, and Gold. The inspiration? A custom-designed cake shaped like the Kamus Dewan (Edisi Keempat), a tribute to my sister’s aspirations as a future Malay Language teacher. Complementing the theme, the Ritz Carlton team contributed beautifully with white heart-shaped balloons that added an extra touch of elegance.
The Big Day
True to tradition, the birthday girl was fashionably late—so much so that I had to dress in record time (thank you, National Service training!). Fortunately, everything else unfolded seamlessly. The surprise worked perfectly, leaving my sister delighted as she celebrated in style with her closest friends and family.

A Personal Message to My Sister
Dearest Sister,
Happy 21st birthday! It’s been a while since I’ve gone all out for your birthday, so I wanted to make this one extra special. Even though your milestone birthday falls during Ramadan, I hope celebrating early caught you by surprise in the best way possible.
I hope you enjoyed everything—from soaking in the tub with a view to sleeping in a luxurious suite with the city skyline as your backdrop. You should know how much we all love you, even amidst our crazy antics. Your resilience through life’s challenges inspires me to be a better person, and I’m grateful to have a sister who always has my back, no matter what.
Happy birthday to my sister, my best friend, and my hijabista diva! May all your dreams and wishes come true.
